Game Changer Project

Waves for Water teamed up with Nike to create the Game Changer Kit, a disaster response kit, made up of sports equipment and clean water filters. Typically, when the W4W team shows up to teach a community how to use the water filters, the adults get it. But with the addition of soccer balls in the kits, the kids are more engaged, making the connection between sports and hydration that much easier. In many cases, kids were seeing proper soccer balls for the first time, having only used stuffed and bunched up socks to play before. Sport and water = health and happiness, and the impact from this program is still thriving in these communities today.
